Sauraha a small and beautiful a well known tourists distination,a bordersite of Chitwan National Park in Chitwan,Nepal.Such a peace place with beautiful sunset view in touch with wildlife.

Chitwan National Park here, it listed in World Heritage site in 1984.It is the main attraction point.It has anarea of 932 sq.km.More than 700 species of wildlife are found in this national park.One-horned Rhino is mostly famous here.It is an endangered species in the world.It is also called asian rhino as it is only found in asia in Nepal and some part of India.Likewise Royal Bengal Tiger,Gharial,Clouded-Leopard,Musk Deer,WildBoars,Fishing Cat,Sloth,Bear,Pangolins,Peacock,kingfisher,Spotted Eagle,Rock Python,King Cobra and other different species of birds and animals can be found here.Chitwan National Park is the home for at least 43 species of mammel and 543 species of birds.

'Tharu' a primitive caste with their different life style are found in this community 'sauraha'.Agriculture is their main occupation.They have their own culture,festivals,customs and food.Tharu food is famous in Nepal as it looks different and more delicious.They wear their own custom in their festivals.It is also said that Tharu people are firstly settled people of chitwan district.Tharu cultural dance show is famous in sauraha.It is a point of attraction in sauraha.
